Looking After your Jewellery

 

Pure Rain Keepsake Jewellery is handmade using natural inclusions in high grade jewellery resin and high quality metals and as with all keepsake jewellery, it will require gentle handling so please care for your jewellery in line with the advice below

• Remember to remove your jewellery before showers, swimming, washing hands, etc.
• Keep your Jewellery away from direct sunlight and or heat when not being worn
• Sterling Silver and other semi precious metals naturally tarnish, however a polishing cloth can help keep the jewellery looking pristine.
• Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals and cleaning products. This includes perfume, hair spray, deodorants, cleaning solutions, nail polish remover, antibacterial hand sanitizer, etc.
• Store your jewellery in a jewellery box. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the resin to discolour and soften.
• Avoid hard knocks to resin jewellery. It is a durable material, but can scratch; Light scratches however can be easily removed using a plastic or resin polish. We recommend using Novus Plastic Polish, which is available to buy online at a reasonable price.

 

The Breastmilk stone will go through a normal colour change called ‘setting in colour’, as the milk shifts from brilliant white to a slightly less white, this is completely normal and each piece will develop its own colour owing the unique composition of each person’s milk.
